Living in a time warp

I wrote a stunning post about my weekend. But I lost it. Just now. It was profound and funny and very vivid. Spent the weekend with my sister, Karin in Cape Town. We were planning to discuss wedding stuff but ended up on a road trip up the West Coast. Had mussels for breakfast in a small restaurant in a place called Laaiplek near Velddrif. The place is surreal, the beach unspoilt and the water very cold. After breakfast, I changed into my cozzie and much to the locals entertainment I took a ride down the supertube, situated right next to the restaurant and frequented by locals with names such as Eigelaar and Porter. I got a free ride and went down the tube again. This time for their viewing pleasure. We moved on, passing guest houses and self catering accommodation with names Lelike Eendtjie (ugly duckling), Stywe Lyne and ended up in Paternoster (Our Father), a stunning fishermans village (see pics above) where we bought crayfish for dinner. We moved on for lunch in Saldanha Bay and arrived home exhausted. No wedding was discussed (the reason for my trip) at all. But...there is NOTHING one cannot discuss on the phone (or via email). When was the last time you visited the West Coast?
